English is the 1st step to integration in Uganda.
Most refugees come from multi-lingual backgrounds speaking French, Swahili, Kinyarwanda, and other local or tribal languages. Teachers provide support to adult learners to gain the conversation skills needed for daily life. English For Adults (EFA) helps adult learners quickly integrate into Ugandan society. Students take Level 1 for three months and then advance to Level 2 for three months.
